Our Ministry Team
Garfield Adams heard the calling of God around 12 years ago and started his journey of pursuing the priesthood to serve the Lord. Before he moved to Canada, he was an engineer, a project manager, and an entrepreneur. He attended Trinity College at the University of Toronto in 2014 and graduated with a Master’s degree in Theological Studies and a Diploma of Ministry in 2017. Today, Garfield serves as assistant Curate at St Simon’s in Oakville, and as the Anglican Chinese Missioner in the Oakville area and beyond.
Roy is enthusiastic about connecting people and making a positive difference in the community. He has several years of experience with communications, outreach and ministry with the Diocese of Niagara as well as other non-profit organizations. Roy holds a degree in Communication Studies and English from McMaster University.
Janet Correia
Director of Music
Janet Correia has been the Music Director of St. Luke’s for over 15 years and leads the adult choir that performs each Sunday morning. Janet is a graduate of the University of Toronto with a B.Mus and B.Ed, earned both ARCT Diplomas through the RCM, and holds an Artist-Teacher Diploma from the Glenn Gould Professional School in Toronto. She teaches private piano lessons in Oakville and is a collaborative accompanist with the Oakville Choir for Children and Youth.
Dean Correira
Warden
Dean Correia is a Warden at St. Luke’s and has his own security consulting business. Dean enjoys sports, the outdoors, and is passionate about our Stewardship ministry here at St. Luke’s.
Alice has been working with and teaching young people for over 10 years. She brings a passion for sharing the Bible and connecting young people with God. Her creativity with crafts, games and projects has brought fun and excitement to St. Luke’s Sunday School for younger and older children. Her goal for St. Luke’s children and youth ministries is to love the Lord with our hearts and to strengthen our souls!
Amanda brings years of co-ordination experience to St. Luke’s. She is passionate about building and maintaining strong community foundations, client relationships and serving the community.
Kathy Parker
Warden
Kathy has been a member of St. Luke’s for over 10 years, where she is a member of the choir and helps with readings, prayers of the people and the altar guild. She is also a church warden and a delegate to the Niagara Anglican Synod. She has 2 children, 5 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. Kathy is an early childhood educator, working with children with special needs and in a regular classroom.
Richard Scott
Treasurer
Richard is a longtime parishioner at St. Luke’s and an accomplished internal auditor with TD Canada Trust. He has contributed his talents to St. Luke’s for several years, assisting with ministries and maintaining church finances.
