Archives
The term “Archives” is broadly defined as “the non-current records of an organization or institution preserved because of their continuing value”.
These non-current records of our parishes are vital to our heritage. The details collected and preserved tell our story; it is these stories and traditions that shape our identity and define our culture. An active parish register chronicles the life of a community as it is being lived out in concrete day-to-day ministry. Each complete register reveals a story in which the moments of celebration, sorrow and joy of a parish family are remembered. Archives are not about old people collecting old things; it is about our history our roots, our stories and our faith!
