Videos Feature Coadjutor Candidates
Profiles released as March 3 episcopal election approaches
Posted February 7, 2018
Video profiles featuring all seven candidates for coadjutor bishop have been added to their online election page on the diocesan website and YouTube channel.
“Through the videos, our hope was to give candidates a highly engaging and less structured way of expressing themselves and their ideas,” said the Reverend Ann Turner, chair of the Electoral Synod Nominations and Planning Committee. She added, “this format offers another way for the diocese to get to know our candidates in advance of the election.”
The profiles can be viewed on their election webpage or by clicking on the name of each candidate.

- The Reverend Canon Martha Tatarnic
The candidates also participated in a series of three open houses in late January and early February. “They were really well attended”, said Turner. “I think this speaks well to the level of engagement people have with our process and the seriousness with which people are taking their responsibility to elect the next bishop.”
A special electoral synod will convene on Saturday, March 3 at Christ’s Church Cathedral in Hamilton. After a short transition period following the election, the coadjutor bishop will assume the responsibilities of diocesan bishop on June 1.
