Sympathy (Robert Billard, O.N.)

Robert Billard, O.N. died on June 23, 2024. Rob was a longtime and devoted member of St. Aidan's, Oakville. The celebration of his life will take place on Wednesday, June 26 at 11AM at St. Aidan's (318 Queen Street, Oakville). May he rest in peace and rise and glory!

Appointment (Christine Morrow)

We are delighted announce the appointment of Christine Morrow as our diocesan treasurer and director of finance, effective June 24, 2024. Christine will oversee diocesan finance and accounting functions, stewarding the resources entrusted to the care of the Synod and its parishes, for the purposes of furthering God’s mission in our communities. As a member of the senior leadership team of the diocese, Christine will support the implementation of our diocesan vision and Mission Action Plan priorities by provisioning resources for ministry. Christine will be taking over from Jody Beck, who will return to her retirement after stepping in as our interim treasurer since January. We are grateful to Jody for the dedication and support she has provided us and wish her well in her retirement.

The Reverend Dr. Susan MacLaren has been appointed interim priest-in-charge of St. John the Evangelist, Thorold, on a part-time basis, effective September 1, 2024.
