The Reverend Judy Steers has submitted her resignation as assistant curate of St. John's, Elora, effective August 31, 2022, and has accepted a full-time position as chaplain of St. John's-Kilmarnock School, beginning September 1. The bishop has also appointed Judy to serve as an honorary assistant at St. John's, Elora, effective September 1.

We are pleased to announce Connor Jay will serve as our diocesan communications coordinator, on a full-time basis. He’ll work to coordinate, curate, and create missionally-oriented and institutional content for publication across our various communications platforms. Part of this work will include overall responsibility for our website, our social media presence, and the Niagara Anglican. Connor begins his new ministry with us on Monday, July 18.

Resignation (Dr. Rob Jones)

The Reverend Dr. Rob Jones has submitted his resignation as assistant curate of Christ's Church Cathedral, Hamilton effective July 31, 2022. Rob has accepted two postdoctoral fellowships; one is a two-year fellowship funded through the Social Science and Humanities Research Council of Canada and will be held at Penn State University, and the other is a one-year fellowship in the Department of Bible at Tel Aviv University in Israel. We wish him well as he prepares for his fellowships.

Charles Meeks has submitted his resignation as coordinator of the Niagara School for Missional Leadership effective July 31, 2022. Over the last year Charles has been invaluable in creating the infrastructure to support and launch the Niagara School for Missional Leadership, in addition to his excellent work as the editor of the Niagara Anglican. We wish him well as he prepares for his new teaching role at Redeemer University.
