Missioners
Missioners represent a new vocational pathway that trains potential mission-formed candidates for ministry within the diocese. There are three types of missioners: commissioned lay missioners, licensed lay missioners, and ordained missioners.
For a fuller description of each ministry, please review the ministry position descriptions on the Vocations webpage

Commissioned Lay Missioners
Commissioned Lay Missioners are trained volunteers who work under the supervision of an ordained missioner or licensed lay missioner and are deployed in missions or parishes.
The application and sponsor’s forms may be requested by the incumbent through the bishop’s office. Applications are accepted at any time and will be held until the next discernment panel.
Licensed Lay Missioners
Licensed Lay Missioners lead mission initiatives focused on engaging with the unchurched, with the hope that contextual mission will eventually lead to new ecclesial communities.
This position can be applied for through an open job posting. Please visit our employment webpage for postings.
Ordained Missioners
Ordained Missioners are priests of the Anglican Church who lead missions under Canon 4.9, or projects that we hope will eventually become missions. They have the authority to perform certain rites and administer the sacraments.
This position can be applied for through an open job posting. Please visit our employment webpage for postings.
