Parish Administrator - St. Simon, Oakville (Part-Time)

Position Summary:
St. Simon’s is a vibrant Anglican Church situated in the heart (and soul) of Oakville. We are looking for an innovative, energetic, and inspired individual to provide communications and administrative support. The ideal candidate will be a gifted communicator with compassion for people and a knack for digital communications. Working 20 hours a week, the Parish Administrator will be part of a team made up of clergy, a bookkeeper and a caretaker. If this floats your boat, we can’t wait to hear from you!

Nature of the Position:
Provides administrative support to the parish, the clergy, and the wardens. Reports to the Rector and wardens.
Time Requirement/Hours of Work:
This is a part-time position for 20 hours per week. Ideally, the incumbent would be at the church each weekday for 3-4 hours.
Responsibilities:
- Manage the parish office
- Maintain parish documentation
- Submit diocesan-required reports on-line in a timely fashion, including the annual Vestry Report
- Manage parish email distribution using Mailchimp
- Manage the parish’s social media sites (parish website, Facebook, YouTube, Twitter & Instagram accounts)
- Prepare the Order of Service for all regular and ad hoc services
- Provide on-site support for the Bookkeeper
- Manage building and parking rentals
- Support Parish Council
- Act as Secretary to Vestry
- Assist clergy and wardens as required.
