The Sunday of the Passion: Palm Sunday begins Holy Week, as we remember Jesus’ entry into Jerusalem and proclaim the story of his Passion. You may be invited to take part in the blessing and waving of palm branches, echoing the crowd’s welcome of Jesus, before the service turns to the reading of his suffering and death.

In the final days of Lent, traditionally known as Passiontide, the Church turns toward the mystery of the cross. In some places, this is marked by the veiling of sacred images.
