Niagara's Wild Ride Walking Team

Will you join our Diocesan Alongside Hope representatives on the Diocese of Niagara Walking Team raising funds for Alongside Hope (formerly PWRDF) | Wild Ride 2025?

Alongside Hope is running their fourth annual Wild Ride fundraiser, and our Diocesan Representative, Kerry Lubrick, has started a team for the Diocese of Niagara, which will gather in Hamilton to walk along the harbourfront trail on Saturday, September 20th, 2025, from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm at Bayfront Park, 200 Harbor Front Dr. Hamilton

 This year, the Wild Ride is raising funds for a new project to install solar suitcases in Mozambique and Madagascar. A solar suitcase is a bright yellow case that is mounted to the interior wall of a health clinic and connected to a solar panel on the roof. The case opens up to reveal power outlets for portable lights, a head lamp, a fetal Doppler and cell phone chargers. Medical attendants have the tools they need to support women through labour and delivery, especially at night.  Each solar suitcase costs $6,500, and the Wild Ride hopes to raise $52,000, enough to install solar suitcases in eight clinics.
