KAIROS Blanket Excercise for National Indigenous People's Day

Location: Christ's Church Cathedral, ON

Date: June 21, 2025 - 10:00am to 1:00pm

Wondering how to mark the very important National Indigenous People's Day on June 21? Mark your calendar for 10:00 am to 1:00 pm, and join in the Blanket Exercise, led by the Venerable Archdeacon Val Kerr, a Mohawk woman.

The Kairos Blanket Exercise is an experiential workshop that explores the historical and contemporary relationship between Indigenous and non-Indigenous peoples in Canada. Participants step onto blankets representing land and take on the roles of First Nations, Inuit, and Métis peoples to understand the impact of colonization. The workshop aims to foster understanding, empathy, and reconciliation.

Bring your own blankets! Lunch will be provided. Limit of 60 participants. Registration will be opening the week of May 19th.
