Freedom Sunday
Location: ON
Date: February 22, 2026
Freedom Sunday is a time to focus on prayer and advocacy against human trafficking and modern slavery. We connect to global church efforts for justice, particularly concerning exploited peoples, youth, Indigenous women and girls, and migrant workers. This day invites prayerful response, learning and concrete action. While the global observance is February 22, parishes are encouraged to mark this day on a different Sunday as appropriate to their context.
Human Trafficking Justice Niagara, our coordinating group in this area, has compiled a set of resources for parish use, found here. For more information or to join the effort, please contact Deirdre Pike, deirdre.pike@niagaraanglican.ca
