Bishop Susan is the diocesan bishop and chief pastor of the Anglican Diocese of Niagara. She is a mission-centred spiritual leader who serves as the 12th Bishop of Niagara and provides oversight of the ministries of the diocese.

Monica’s work is to resource clergy and laity with a focus on Christian discipleship. Monica works closely with the diocesan missioners and assists the diocese to deepen the faith and engagement of those people already present in our churches, and to engage those who are seeking a safe community in which to ask meaning of life questions. Monica is available for consultation with parish leaders to resource and support faith formation initiatives.

Emily’s work as our Parish Development Missioner is focused on nurturing faithful, vital, and resilient missional faith communities through parish consultations, education, and resourcing. Emily guides the development and implementation of programs and resources in support of the diocese’s vision and mission-driven initiatives, as articulated in the diocesan Mission Action Plan. Working in collaboration with the diocesan senior leadership team, she helps nurture and support parish leaders by providing consultative services in strategic planning, visioning, faith formation, and congregational development.
Ms. Kristen Jackson-Dockeray
Children, Youth, & Family Missional Coordinator
Kristen brings a deep vocation for working with children, youth, and families, an inquiring and inclusive faith, and a wide variety of skills as a teacher and counsellor.
Kristen’s role will be to resource and support missional ministries for children, youth and families by coordinating a parish-based ministry network. She will also support other diocesan events, programs, and initiatives, with a focus on forming missional leaders who can inspire and equip others for their participation in God’s mission in the world, in furtherance of the diocesan Mission Action Plan.

Hannah serves in a dual role within the diocesan office as Coordinator of the Niagara School for Missional Leadership (NSML) and Governance Administrator. As NSML Coordinator, she oversees programming logistics, registrations, and administrative coordination, supporting the formation of missional leaders across the Diocese. In her governance role, Hannah supports the Executive Officer and Secretary of Synod through the coordination of governance processes, meetings, records, and property-related matters. Hannah is also the registrar for the Bishop’s Company, a group that supports a fund for the work of the bishop to respond compassionately and strategically to the emergent needs of our diocesan leaders, and our siblings in Christ within the diocese and beyond.

Ian’s ministry seeks to increase the capacity and passion for Spirit-led and entrepreneurial missional opportunities and initiatives within the Diocese of Niagara. Working with the bishop, Ian is working to reshape the culture and structures of the diocese to reflect a spiritually renewed missional orientation. His ministry also includes supporting and equipping church planters, chaplaincies, and neighbourhood and intercultural missioners. Ian is available for consultation about missional development, strategic planning, and community formation.

As executive assistant, Jane provides comprehensive administrative, planning, and communications as support to the diocesan bishop, coordinating all aspects of the exercise of their episcopal ministry. This support includes maintaining the Bishop’s calendar; managing the diocesan register; overseeing the ordination candidacy discernment process related to applications to the priesthood and the diaconate, including ordinations and retreats; administrative support for episcopal programs and initiatives; organizing Bishop’s Company events; administering the annual clergy and licensed lay workers conference; coordinating the diocesan administrative team; and preparing documentation for ordinations, confirmations, and Order of Niagara services. Archdeacons serve the church within our diocese by taking particular responsibility for buildings, including church buildings, the welfare of clergy and their families and the implementation of diocesan policy within the region to which they are assigned. In our diocese there are also some "non-territorial" Archdeacons who have been appointed to assist the Bishop in the implementation of particular responsibilities across the entire diocese.

Regional deans offer representative leadership on behalf of the clergy of their region through their work in chairing and setting the agenda for regional clericus meetings. They also take part in induction services, represent clergy at other functions, and work in close collaboration with their regional archdeacon. Nominated by clergy of a region, and appointed by the bishop, regional deans serve for a term of three years, in accordance with Canon 3.4 and approved nomination procedures.
