We are a community of faith serving the Niagara region, committed to living out the Gospel through worship, service, and justice.

Our Story

The Diocese of Niagara was established in 1875, serving Anglican communities across the Niagara Peninsula from Burlington to Fort Erie. For nearly 150 years, we have been a community of faith witnessing to Christ’s love in this region.

Our diocese includes over 80 parishes and missions, each with its own unique character and story. From historic stone churches to contemporary worship spaces, from urban centers to rural communities, we are united in our commitment to living out the Gospel.

We are part of the Anglican Church of Canada and the worldwide Anglican Communion, connecting us to millions of Christians around the globe. Our roots are deep, but our eyes are fixed on the future God is calling us into.

Our Belief

Anglicans are Christians who belong to a worldwide family of churches rooted in the Church of England. We’re sometimes called the “middle way” – balancing ancient tradition with contemporary thinking, beautiful liturgy with personal faith.

We believe in Scripture, Tradition, and Reason as guides for faith. We welcome questions, embrace diversity, and meet people exactly where they are on their spiritual journey. You don’t need to have it all figured out to explore Anglican faith.
