The Meaning of Baptism

Baptism is the first sacrament of the Christian Church. It signifies birth into God’s family and the washing away of sin.  The water used in Baptism is symbolic of this birth and this washing.

Adults, teenagers, children, and infants, are all invited to be baptized in the name of God the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.

If you wish to have a Baptism at St. John's Anglican Church, please contact our Rector, The Rev'd Pamela Guyatt by email stjohnsjordanrector@gmail.com or call the office (905) 562-7238 to arrange a meeting to discuss the meaning of Baptism, the role of godparents, and the ceremony itself.
