Sustainability Grants

Looking to make your ministry space greener? Grants are now available for Green Audits and Capital Improvements.

Posted March 26, 2014

We are pleased to announce a new three-year initiative (2014-2016) where parishes are eligible to receive grants from the Green Audits Program and the Capital Improvement Program.  This initiative will be administered by the Greening Niagara Committee as a way of deepening our commitment to care for creation by making our ministry spaces more environmentally sustainable.

Care for Creation has long been an important value of our faith community. In the face of the climate crisis, we cannot rely on government alone to challenge us to examine our current lifestyles. The gospel calls us to radical discipleship and an ethic of care of all creation. As a sign of our diocesan commitment to care for creation, financial assistance through these grant programs has been approved by Synod.

Application deadlines:  May 1 and October 1 each year.  Applicants wil be notified by May 30 and October 31 regarding grant committee decisions.
