Ice Storm Impacts Sunday Worship Services

 

Environment Canada is warning that a significant ice storm will affect most parts of our diocese today through Sunday. Ice build up of as much as 25 mm is predicted by Sunday morning, coupled with strong gusting winds. This combination will likely result in widespread power outages as well as dangerous driving conditions on untreated roads.

Our parishes are monitoring local weather conditions and we will post any service cancellations as we hear about them. Parishioners are advised to only venture out to Sunday morning services if it is safe to do so. Please stay safe, check-in with vulnerable people and pray for those who are working hard to keep our communities safe.
