We’re Better Together: A Conversation about Refugee Rights in Canada
It’s time to have a different conversation about refugees and migrants in Canada.
On June 24th, we will be hosting a conversation alongside the book launch for A Renewed Canadian Welcome: Eleven Visions from Migrants and Advocates, published by McGill-Queen’s University Press.
Focusing on the role of faith in amplifying the voices of refugees, this event will include a panel of speakers. Speakers include Brenna Sobanski, PhD candidate in Anthropology at McMaster University and Archdeacon Bill Mous, executive officer and secretary of Synod, who is responsible for refugee sponsorship for the Anglican Diocese of Niagara. It will also feature two speakers from Rainbow Kings and Queens Hamilton, who are LGBTQ asylum seekers and refugees.
