Consecration of Bishop-elect Susan Bell

A service to consecrate the Reverend Canon Susan Bell as a bishop of the Church of God to serve as coadjutor bishop is planned for Saturday, May 5 at 11:00am at Christ’s Church Cathedral in Hamilton. A reception will take place afterwards at the John Weir Foote VC Armoury, one block south of the Cathedral.

Archbishop Colin Johnson, metropolitan of the Ecclesiastical Province of Ontario will preside and act as the chief consecrator for the ordination. Bishop Linda Nicholls of the Diocese of Huron will be the preacher. Bishop Michael Bird will be the chief celebrant of the Eucharist.

The ordination will be livestreamed through our diocesan social media channels so that as many people can take part in this sacred event. 

Due to limited seating, this will be a ticketed event. Requests for tickets may be made in writing to the Bishop’s Office via email (bishop@niagaraanglican.ca) and will be distributed by mail on a first-come, first-served basis in advance of the service. Myler Hall will also be available for extra seating with a livestream of the service. People will be seated there on a first-come, first-served basis.
