Niagara Hosts Vergers Guild Conference

The Vergers Guild of the Episcopal Church will gather outside of the United States for just the second time in its 26-year history.  The conference is beign hosted by St. Luke's, Burlington

The Vergers Guild Conference is being held Thursday, September 25 through Sunday, September 28, 2014.  The registration deadline is September 15 for consideration of full participation.  Cost:  $250 per person.

  • 180th Church Anniversary and Vergers Guild Choral Evensong at St. Luke’s Church - Thursday, September 25 at 6:00pm
  • Keynote Address by Marianne Mead Ward, Ward 2 Councillor, City of Burlington
  • Dinner in the Great Hall with entertainment from “The Three Cantors”
  • Tour of St. Luke's Church, Oldest in Burlington (1834) and Cemetery
  • Verger 101 - Hands On for the New Verger

  • Archiving Your Church History – John Rathbone, Diocesan Archivist
  • Restorative Justice – Father Ted Hughes
  • International Interfaith – Rev. Canon Sharyn Hall

  • Heraldry and Flags in the Church Today – Bishop Ralph Spence
  • Solemn Festival Eucharist with the St. Luke’s and Cathedral Choirs and Procession of Vergers at Christ’s Church Cathedral, Hamilton - Sunday, September 28 at 10:30am
